The following County Projects are planned for the 2024 Construction Season:


County Road X from the County Line to Wood Road

  • Crews will recycle the existing asphalt into a gravel base and place a new asphalt surface.
  • The road will have a gravel surface after the old pavement is processed and prior to paving operations commencing.
  • Paved shoulders will be added from State Highway 153 to Wood Road.  This segment also includes centerline and edge line rumble strips.
  • Work is anticipated to be begin in mid May and be completed in mid July.
  • The project will be posted as Road Closed Local Traffic Only. Businesses and residents will have access during construction, but should expect delays and rough driving conditions at times.


County Road C from County Road J to County Road I

  • The existing pavement will be recycled and relayed prior to paving operations placing a new layer of asphalt on the roadway. 
  • Work is anticipated to begin in June, but final schedules are still pending.
  • Project will be posted as Road Closed with access maintained for local residents and businesses.
  • A detour route will not be in place for this project.
  • The bridge over the Plover River will be skipped as part of this project. While efforts were made to overlap the projects, federal funding that was approved for the bridge was not available until 2025.


County Road N from State Highway 97 to County Road H

  • In Phase 1 of the project, crews will replace the bridge approximately ½ mile west of County Road H.  This phase will require the road to be closed to all traffic for approximately 4 weeks.  The start date has not yet been determined, but is anticipated to be in June.
  • In Phase 2 of the project, crews will recycle the existing asphalt into a new base course and place a new asphalt surface.
  • The road will have a gravel surface after the old pavement is processed and prior to paving operations commencing.
  • Road work is planned to begin in July and be completed in August.
  • Substantial completion is planned to be completed prior to the Edgar Steam Show.
  • The project will be posted as Road Closed Local Traffic Only. Businesses and residents will have access during construction, but should expect delays and rough driving conditions at times.
  • A detour route is planned on State Highway 97, County Road P and County Road H.


County Road H from State Highway 153 to County Road P

  • Crews will remove the top layer of the existing asphalt and place a new asphalt surface.
  • Work is planned to begin in late July and be completed in August.
  • Project will be posted as Road Closed with access maintained for local residents and businesses.
  • A detour route is not planned for this project.


County Road KK from Shurwood Lane to County Road N

  • Crews will remove a portion of the top layer of the existing asphalt and place a new asphalt surface.
  • Work is planned to begin in August and be completed in September.
  • The project includes centerline and edge line rumble strips
  • Project will be posted as Road Closed with access maintained for local residents and businesses.
  • Detour route will use County Roads, B, O and N.


County Road J from State Highway 153 to State Highway 29

  • In Phase 1 of this project, crews will remove the small bridge approximately 3/4 mile north of State Highway 153.  The structure will be replaced with a concrete box culvert.  The road will be closed to all traffic for approximately 3 weeks.  The schedule is highly weather dependent. The project is scheduled to begin July 8th.
  • In Phase 2, crews will recycle the existing asphalt into a new base course and place a new asphalt surface.
  • The road will have a gravel surface after the old pavement is processed and prior to paving operations commencing.
  • Work is planned to begin in August or September.
  • Project will be posted as Road Closed with access maintained for local residents and businesses.
  • The project includes centerline and edge line rumble strips
  • A detour route is not planned for this project.


County Road T from the County Line to State Highway 97

County Road U at Artus Creek

  • Crews will remove the existing metal culvert and replace with a concrete box culvert.
  • The roadway will be closed to all traffic immediately east of 152nd Avenue.
  • Project is planned to begin in late August or September and is expected to be under construction for approximately three weeks.
  • Detour route is still pending.
