How to File

If a decedent leaves a Last Will and Testament but there is not a need to commence an action, their Last Will and Testament must still be filed with the Register in Probate pursuant to sec. 856.05 of Wisconsin Statutes. When you file the original will, make sure you keep a copy for yourself because the original will will be kept in the Probate office.
